Small Business Profile: Framboise Bakery

Wow, have you tried the pastries at Framboise Bakery/Cafe? I am so glad Catherine Tetreault opened up shop in my neighbourhood on 20th Ave at 10th St NW. Since she opened a year ago, her goal has been to build a little community bakery -- the kind that every community should have as a focal point and gathering place.

Pastries are made from scratch in-house, with the artisanal hand-crafted methods that you can practically taste.

Catherine's enthusiasm for her product is infectious. She studied at SAIT after having previously practiced law. Framboise has four employees now, including Head Pastry Chef Tammy Crocker.

Make sure you get there on Saturdays to try their special kouign amann pastries. They sell out fast!
